Mndatory sales district in sales order

Hi experts,

How to make sales district mandatory in sales order(va01) with the help of customization other than userexit/field exit

I can not use incompletion procedure because we have to give error message if this field is not filled.

Also this must be applicable on some order type

Hello Dharminder,

You can acheive this with Incompletion Procedure.

Define & Assign the Status Group with Tick mark in Check Box on General & other check Box. At the time of Saving the Sales Order system will clearly give warning message & list the feilds that are incomplete.

Alternatively, you can make Sales District Feild Mandatory in Sales Order by creating Screen Variant & assign the same to particular Sales Document Type. Just search forum with "Transaction Variant" & you will get necessary guidence.

This will clearly give a error message that Sales District feild is not filled.

As you yourself have indicated, in-completion log is the best way. You can control this through order type also.
