Hi! Experts ,

I'm using SAP 8.81 PL05, We are sending PO's for Approval, Once the PO's got approved I'm Unable to do some changes , For all Approved PO's Row Level got blocked we can't change the Price,Project Code, TAX etc. I know SAP Released some Patch level fixing these types of Issues. Can any one help me which patch level we can send approval po's for re approval.

Hi Kamal......

Think. Logically if you get any approval means what there should no be any changes happened. Then only there is meaning for approval.

But If you still want to change the PO after approval you have to ask the person who has approved PO to reject the same through the same approval procedure. This is what a business process required once anything approved that should not be changed........

The same way SAP works........

Rahul

I suggest to train users that approved means that it is ok as is. not approve means in the remarks should have comments explaining what needs to be fixxed. If the company has complicated logic and is large like 1k employees then maybe they should use all in one or ECC.

Hi,

Unlike R/3, B1 has simple logic for approval. Once is approved, nothing will be allowed to change. This is by design.

Thanks,

Hi Gordon,

If I remember correctly, even release strategy (PO approval) in R/3 won't give you permission to amend approved PO. It beat the purpose of the approval on first place.

There are different options in R/3 that allow partial changes.

Hi KamalaKamalakKannan,

I think there's really no way for you to make changes for a PO that went through an approval procedure because that's the whole point of having one. I'm not sure of the fix, but what I can suggest though is GRPO or AP custodian to make the necessary changes if they make a "copy from" entry. I had the same problem before, and that's how we are able to make the necessary changes.

thanks,

richard
