Link showing in the UWL task as parf of User decision Step is not working

Hi All,

We have a user decision step in the workflow which will create a UWL task for an employee. This part is working fine. Where as we have a link which will open up a custom webdynrpo application where the user can see the information that are related to the workitem. But this part is not working whenever user is clicking on the link the new window is opening but the application is not getting opened the window is just showing he message as close window that's it.

Where as if we try to open the link through SAP inbox from the back end or there is also an another option to open the task details in the SAP GUI. If we are using any of these option and clicking on the link the user is able to see the webdynpro application along with the related information to the task item.

Can any one suggest how to solve this issue.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Sreelatha Gullapalli.

Well may be you can check the below points

    1. First check in SICF txn whether the service is active or not.,but still you are Said that from back end . So make sure that

whether is the portal is mapped to the same system where it is fine in the back end.

    2. My other suggestion would be instead of creating some other application component to show the popup, try to create one more window in the same application component and show it as popup by making use of UI element Link to action of Webdynpro Abap (if application is WDfor ABAP)

    3. The final would be which am not very much sure would be try to create a I View and configure it and try to display the application in that Iview.

Please update if you could find the solution.
