Transportation issue from Quality to Production

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We have moved one application from quality to production . It is missing some z tables which were moved perfectly for the

first time when we moved from Dev to quality and worked fine in dev and quality without any issues. But , in production ,

when i enter table in SE11 for table display it is shwoing following information message: " Table ZABC does not exist in the database. When we enter it showing field names but not displaying the data.

I have all these Z tables in one package in which i have all the repaired objects. Will that give any problem while moving to production which didn't give any problem from development to quality ?

Could you please suggest me what could be the reason for this ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Sridar,

" Table ZABC does not exist in the database"

Please go to Transport Organiser and select the particular workbench Request.

Now you can move the request through STMS for the particular table.

Go to STMS-> Extras --> Add the Request number and Forward to Prodution system.

Please Let me know if any doubts.

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for your reply.

Here, i have one doubt, when i enter table in SE11 then it is showing the information saying that table does not exist But if

i enter then it is navigating to table to display all the fields. And, if I execute here for data display it is throwing same error

that table is not existing. What could be the reason. Is that table not transported properly.

I transport log i can see error mesages saying like below:

Activating inactive nametabs

Ended with return code: ===> 8 <===

No DDL commands found for activation of /SNP/BB06BLKLIST like this there many errors.

No DDL commands found for activation of /SNP/PX0XPARAMS

Activate shadow nametab ZABC - Z table name .

Like above there are mulitpe error with DDL commands not found.

Will my tables issues be fixed if i ask the Basis team to transport ?

Thak you in advance.

Hi,

Yeah Obviously, the particular transport request moved by Basis guys. Before that you should closed all other related package and Object, Tables then tell to Basis Team ,do the transport to Production.

So please give the particular Request Number ( Table Name ). Then you try that, it will be working.

Thank you very much Thomas for this help.

Before going to Basis team, i have one smalll doubt here,

i..e. from your previous reply that "should closed all other related package and Object, Tables then tell to Basis Team"

It means simply ,i have to make sure to not to be opened any of the related objects or anything else ?

I am bit confused here, because even earlier transport was also done when i have not opened any of the related applications.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Yes correct. To ensure that , If any objects are opened or nor. If opened , please save it and close this. That's enough.

Hi Sridhar,

We need to think about 2 things here.

1) whether the transport got imported succesfully with RC=0 or RC=4

If the above condition met, that means the changes not activated in your target system after transport. here i believe there might be an issue with buffers synchronization problem. please run /$sync transaction now and check whether changes effected.

2) Transport files problem. as explained by our Friends try to reimport again with overwrite option.

If still you face any issues please post here.

As your saying you don't have any problems in Quality ,So please ask the Basis team to move the Transport to Production once again with the option "Overwrite Originals"

Hi Sridhar,

Lets try to activate that particular table in the database from transaction SE14/SE16. Inside of the transaction, you should be able to see the message "Exists in the database" if it's been already activated in the database.

Thanks,

Hi Siva kumar,

You are if i go to SE14 there i can see the message for the 2 z table status as "Upgrade: which are showing

not existing through SE11. But for the other tables it is active.

So, here my doubt is , can i activate directly in Production through SE14. ? If yes, i can see the oush buttons for

various actions. Among them one oprtion is Activate and adjust data base table which is also in disable mode.

Is there any way , Siva.

If i can't do any change on production... what is the other way to fix it . Please help me.

Thank you in advance.
