BW Statistics for aggregate usage

Hello experts,

can some one guide me on how the BW Statistics cube can be used to count

1> the "No. of times an aggregate was used by the

queries" .

2> The % of the query users who hit a particular

aggregate in a month

A query on the cube '0BWTC_C02' with

0TCTIFCUBE(InfoCube) in rows and

0TCTSTAUIK(Frequency ) in coulumns doesn't yield the correct result for my aggregate.

Is this the right way of getting the "No. of times an aggregate was used by the queries" or is there any other option.

I'm aware that i can indirectly get these details from RSDDSTAT, but not sure how to use BW Statistics cube for getting this information.

    Hi Sanjay,

    You an find out the number of times an aggregate was used by queries from the aggregate screen itself.

      Hello Bhanu.

      thanks for your response. The problem is that the statistics in the aggregate maintenace screen will not be valid if the aggregate has been deactivated and activated again. In this case, the 'Usage' column would show the No. of times the aggregate was used since it was last activated and not the No. of times it was used before that, and hence this would be incorrect !

      Any suggestions ?

    Hi Sanjay,

    Do you maintain the statistics of your production cubes after every load. Only if the statistics are maintained will the details be displayed correctly. You can maintain the stats for a cube using the following path. Tools -> BW Statistics for Info-providers -> Infoprovider. Click the check box for your cube. You must also load your BW Stats cube regularly.

      Hi Dinesh,

      yes, the statisctics are maintained for the cubes and updated regurlarly(in fact everyday). But i'm not sure if the BW statistics cube would provide the details that i've mentioned above or if should get these details from the RSDDSTAT table by writing an ABAP routine.
