Hello All,
The DSO has been loaded with all the past data in a Repair full request. DSO has all the correct data now. A delta load happens from DSO to Cube. But the Cube has been regularly loaded with further deltas.
I want to get all the corrected data from DSO to Cube. Should I delete the past data in Cube and then run a full upload from DSO? And then run a init without data transfer to continue loading further deltas?
Can someone give me a stepwise procedure to do this?
Regards,
NIKEKAB
Hi,
It all depends on whether partial data is incorrect or whole data is incorrect.
If complete wriong delete completely. If selective wrong do selective deletion for that particulat year or period or any particul;ar parameter.
Then do full repair. Things should get corrected. If still not full delete ,reinit and load it normally. It may not required as delta is still intact.Just some wrong entries are making the differences.
Thanks and regards
Kiran

Hi NIKEKAB,
If entire data in your CUBE is wrong, then delete the data from CUBE with dimension id's and follow the below steps
1)delete the existing init
2)run full load IP from DSO to CUBE
3)run init IP with "init with out data transfer"
4)now your daily delta will go fine
Note:which version of BI you are working, is it 3.5 or 7.0

Hello Venky,
Its BI 7.0.
Not all the contents of my Cube are wrong. I did a Repair full for all the past data into DSO eg: 02.2010 to 05.09.2011.
The deltas after 05.09.2011 are getting correct data. Now my task is to load the complete past data from DSO to Cube without affecting deltas.

Hi NK,
Analyse some points in your CUBE.
1)do you have data past 02.2010 in your CUBE?
if you don't have data past 02.2010 just delete all the data from CUBE and load it from DSO.
as you are working in BI7.0, just run the delta DTP to load all the data from DSO to CUBE and from next your daily delta will run fine.
2) If you have data past 02.2010, then do the selective deletion in CUBE and run the delta DTP with 0CALDAY as selections.
after load is completed remove the selection and activate the DTP.Next day onwards your delta will run fine

Hi,
i dont think that you need to delete any data from CUBE, because you use Delta DTP to get the data from Change log in DSO.
You can do Repair Full to load data to DSO, in Change Log you will get the before and after image for your selective data. Then you load the data from DSO TO CUBE, you will get the correct data in CUBE
Hi,
The delta in case of DSO to Cube works in different manner and there can be multiple delta DTP's with different selections form DSO to Cube.
You need not distrub your current delta DTP, simply do a selective deletion from the Infocube for the required range only, after that use a new DTP for loading data for that particular selection from DSO to Cube.
Do not change any parameter in the current DTP otherwise you will loose your current delta pointer.

Durgesh.
Hi,
Do Selective Deletion in the Cube for the same data which you did Repair Full to DSO. After this, you can do Full Load from DSO to Cube.
If your regular Delta works properly , nothing to do any init. If not, do init without transfer
Your Delta from DSO to Cube will also work properly.

Hi,
If your wrong data requests are not compressed in the Cube, you can delete the requests itself. Selective deletion is helpful when the required requests are compressed. Please do not delete all the requests in the Cube. This will lead you to loose data. It's always better to do Selective deletion.

Suman
