Hi Experts ,

i have done configuration for DEP AREA 01 with leading ledger and DEP AREA 40 for non leading ledger with "post DEP only" in non leading ledger and different DEP AREA as 01

I make an adjustment in DEP AREA 40 then values of asset will be different in non leading ledger which will be according to IFRS whch is requirement in DEP AREA 40 .

i want to know if i post depreciation via AFAB then dep posted in area 01 i.e. in leading ledger will also be shown in non leading ledger and dep posted in DEP AREA 40 will be posted in non leading ledger .

then if we see G/L or reporting FSV in non leading ledger according to IFRS then both values i.e. dep of area 01 and 40 will seen in same G/L instead it should only show depreciation of area 40 .

i wanted to know if dep of area 01 will be shown in non leading ledger or not if yes then my reporting will be not be accurate as it should only show DEP of are 40 .

Thanks

Abhi

Hi Abhi,

the values of the leading ledger has to be posted in all non-leading ledgers, too.

With the derived delta area, differences should be forwarded into FI.

Real Posting to G/L Ledger

Hi Bern ,

can you please explain me with an example say ,

My asset was of USD 1200 in area 01 and in area 15 i have changed the value of asset to say USD 1000 ,

then my DEP for a period is say USD 120 in area 01 posted in G/L say 1234 in leading ledger and dep for same asset in area 15 is USD 100 posted in G/L 1234 in non leading ledger .

according to reporting values in G/L 1234 will be USD 120 in leading ledger and in non leading ledger will be USD 120 as well as USD 100 .

so what would value in derived delta area 16 .

Thanks

Abhi

Hi Abhi,

if you have different derpeciation keys and / or different useful life in areas 01 and 15, of course you have a different

derpeciation.

i have same DEP keys and same useful life but i have done adjustments in DEP area 15 for the asset .

for eg. requirement was that in area 01 USD 200 was of freight in area 15 i don't want freight to included so i have reduced the value of asset by USD 200 in area 15 i.e. value of asset in area 15 is USD 1000 .

but my query is when we are posting dep in area 01 in leading ledger it will also be posted in non leading ledger which according to you by configuring derived delta area 16 amount will be cancelled of .

as DEP posted in area 01 is USD 120 in leading ledger and in area 15 is USD 100 in non leading ledger , therefore when we are displaying DEP G/L in non leading ledger it will show both the values USD 120 (from leading ledger) and USD 100 (from non leading ledger)

so i just wanted to know what value will be posted in derived delta area 16 as according to the requirement only USD 100 of area 15 should be shown in non leading ledger but it is showing both the value from leading and non leading ledger , so when we display balance sheet according to non leading ledger both the value will be shown which should not happen .

Thanks

Abhi
