Checking if system is retail?

Well, i really wonder why i could find something about it here already.

But unfortunateley i get 0 results searching ALL forums for keyword retail.

I suspect i just do something wrong when searching.

Anyway, maybe someone can tell me a way to find out if a system is a retail system or not?

There was a problem over the weekend which meant that searches were not working properly. Seems to be ok now.

You mean you want to find out whether your system is IS-Retail?

    Hi Florian,

usually users know if they use IS-Retail or not. To konow you may ask one.

OK, this is what I found after quick search of SCN:

The activation is controlled by the Switch Framework (see chapter

3.3.2). An industry solution corresponds to a business function set in this Switch Framework.

SAP Retail as industry extension is configured by activating the corresponding business function

set ISR_RETAIL (SAP Retail) in the Switch Framework.

Up to release mySAP ERP2004 the u201Coldu201D Retail Switch was used. This Retail Switch is very

simple from a technical point of view; itu2019s just a specific entry in a defined database table. This

database table entry can be evaluated in an applicationu2019s program to control the business logic.

The most prominent example is that the Article Master Data Maintenance transaction can only

be started in SAP Retail (see Figure 7). With release SAP ERP 6.0 the activation by the old

Retail Switch has been replaced by a business function set activation to be consistent with the

Switch Framework paradigm of activating industry solutions.

Simply said: Try to run MM42 Article Master Data Maintenance transaction - This works only in Retail.

Obviously your network or hardware or software was not up and running when you searched all forums for retail.

    I got

Search Results » Messages : 203 - Search Terms: retail

And then, if you use the search field on top right of all SCN pages, you may find the Wiki (716), SAP Support Notes (133), eLearning (108) and and and...

It looks more straightforward and honest if someone says: Sorry I have not got the time and/or don't want to put any effort in searching or googling, so I just ask here.

    Regards

    Clemens

      Hi

Try to check SAINT transaction in order to get out all addon installed in the system.

My system is AFS: I can see it there.

It seems (I've just given a look only) a good table can be AVERS or try to check fm OCS_READ_ADD_ON_PRODUCTS
