cost element for WIP account (P&L) in OKG8

Hi,

Do we need to maintain Cost element (with category 1) for the P&L WIP account which we maintain in OKG8.

initially i didnot maintain it was fine, when i maintain CE with 1 i used to get message " GL cannot be created as CE"

I want to know whether we need to create CE or not.

Hi,

I believe the accounts for WIP should not be defined as cost element in CO to avoid that WIP is posted incorrectly into CO. I think this is explained in note 515299.
