Hi All,
Our current ECC 6.0 is enabled for multiple language. So we have polish specific characters in our R/3.
While loading the master data for customer the data load failed with the error while loading since customer name had polish specific description like "LEROY MERLIN BIELSKO BIAŁA".
To resolve this issue i entered 'Ł' as a perimited characteristic at RSKC trancode.
After that the data load went fine. But when i check the master data for Customer the description changed to "LEROY MERLIN BIELSKO BIA#A".
My question is why "Ł" is changed to "#" after the data load. Is there any thing that i need to do to keep polish special characeristic "Ł" as it is in BW after data load.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Gopi
Hi Venu,
Make sure that Polish is selected in I18N - Customizing - System Configuration.

Hi Gopi,
the BW system must be based on Unicode if you want to load Polish characters.
Is this the case ?

Hi,
Pl check that if Polish language is installed in our BW system. Check transaction RSCPINST and check whether your system is unicode enabled or not?
Thanks and regards

Hi Gopi,
Try using tcode RSKC. It contains the special characters permitted in BW. Add the polish special characters in the liast and execute. Then again try loading data from R/3.
But remember, you should add any special character in RSKC only after client's approval.
Thanks,
Indrashis
