Planned orderwise missing part list

Hi PP Experts,

I have a requirement. After the MRP run is done, is there any report which shall provide information of list of planned orders in a particular period and the missing parts for those planned orders.

I have gone through the transaction code MDVP, but in that, even though stock is available for the materials system is showing missing parts for the planned orders. Am I missing any configuration for MDVP. Also is it possible to get information of available stock against the component materials and their next inspection date and expiry date in the same report?

Pl. suggest how I can achieve this. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Prashant

    Hello Prashant,

Have you checked the transaction CO24?

    • Dear Prashant,

If my understanding is correct then during MRP run the system carryout net requirement calculations based on the MRP type

assigned for each material.Based on the demand for the product level, the system explodes the BOM and checks it's current

stock and the required quantity for procurement proposals for the shortage quantity.

With this understanding, why do try to identify the missing parts for the planned orders which are the output for the in-house

manufactured materials(Pur.Req generated for the missing component's quantity)?

In case if you are creating planned orders manually and if you want to check the missing parts means then it makes sense.

Correct me if my understanding is wrong.

We customised the MDVP transaction to capture the required information.
