Transporation cost

Hi ,

We have a central store which is been created as Plant in our SAP JP01

We have project Sites across different Sites which are created as storage location under this central plant JP01.

so when we have to move stock between these plants , we post 309 movemnt. but since distance between these Storage locations is considerable, is there any way to capture transportation cost involved?

or we have to create seperate plant?

Thanks

Manoj

Hi Manoj no need to create the separate plant. please check that the stock transport order between storage locations option:

    the node is as follows:

SPRO - > Materials Management - Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Set up Stock Transport Order -> Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations

The functionality is by default not activated in the SAP. Once it is activated the Stock transport between the storage location can be done with the freight cost.
