Process Chain (ABAP program)

Hi

I am building a process chain that includes an ABAP program. The intention is that the output from the ABAP program eighter a 0 or a 4.

I then want the process chain to terminate if the value is 4 and continue if the value is 0.

What is the best way to do this.

Chris

    Hi Chris,

I think you should remodel your process chain just a bit.

Use the ABAP as the last step in the chain and put the following steps into another chain that waits for an event. Instead of returning 0 or 4, raise the required event to trigger the following steps or do nothing in case of 4. Hope this helps

    regards

    Siggi

Hi chris, u can do this by using an ABAP program as a last process and if condition met u can call another process chain(having all remaining processes) using function module: rspc_api_chain_start from ur ABAP program.

      i think it may works

    Hi Chris,

just as a general note. It would be better to implement your solution as a customer defined process type, which can generate the standard results (red / green) for the subsequent processes in the chain.

    Please check the HowTo

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/how to implement custom-defined process type.pdf

    for detailed information

    Cheers

    Hi!

The chain cannot decide on the flow depending on outcome of the variables values from the abap process. The outcome can only be displayed on the spool.
