DataSource from source system unknown

guyz,

i am getting the below message while installing content i.e. DSO(in data flow before).

below id the message:

DataSource (OSOA) ZBW_UNBILLED_UPDATED_EU

does not exist in BI system

How do you want to create the object in BI?

options asked: 1. as DataSource (RSDS) 2. as 3.x DataSource (ISFS)

please suggest.

Hi raps,

Is this message in BI or in ECC, i think u are replicating the datasource into the BI , SO THAT IS NOT THE ERROR.

Hi,

This is not error. This message normally occur in system upgrade.

When you will get this message you might need to select 3.x as this is old datasource. This I am mentioning as a part of tech upgrade.

But if you want to convert datasources from 3.x TO BI7 you have to select RSDS. But again see how it would affect your other objects like UR,Transformation etc.Kindly carry out impact analysis.

In BI7 you can have both the datasources 3.x AND BI7.

Hi Raps,

After data source is created and activated in ECC, we have to replicate the same in order to get that in BI system(I think you missed this one when you create DS).

As you selected the option in data flow before when you collect DSO, it will collect the data source related to the DSO also.

As you have not replicated this data source before, system replicated the data source and asking you to replicate this data source as 3.5 or 7.0.

select the option based on your requirement and continue, this is not the error.

It is not a error. This data source is there in source system but not present in BI system. Therefore, it is trying to replicate the data source in BI system and asking you if it should be replicated as 7.0 data source or 3.X data source.

i guess you are on BI7.0, so you should select the 1st option - RSDS and proceed ahead.
