Creating a spool for List output

Hi Gurus,

I have created a program to display list output using WRITE statements. Now I need to download the list output into PDF.

I am not aware of the steps in creating a spool for the LIST output.

Please help me out on this.

Regards,

Gopinath GS.

before issuing the first WRITE statement, put this:

NEW-PAGE PRINT ON PARAMETERS ws_params NO DIALOG.

ws_params is of type PRI_PARAMS (available in DDIC)

the list will then be written into a spool

    http://www.sapdev.co.uk/reporting/rep_spooltopdf.htm

hwo to get the spool number from report output

To download the pdf, you can use report RSTXPDF4 and the location to Save

    Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

I tried creating a spool. The spool is getting created. But the list output is not getting displayed.

In the spool I could see the list output.

In my requirement the list output should be displayed and then only I must create the spool for downloading into PDF.

    Please provide your suggestions

    Thanks,

    Gopinath GS

    • then I recommend you to use function module LIST_DOWNLOAD_HTML

it is HTML and not PDF but the output is better (with colors and so on) and this is a one-step process

if you still want to do it in PDF then you output your list normally then

      - call function module SAVE_LIST

      - with the table returned, you call function module LIST_CONVERT_TO_RTF_FROM_LIST

      - finally you convert RTF to PDF
