diff compRequest.getUser().getUserId() and compRequest.getUser().getUser()

what is the difference between compRequest.getUser().getUser() and compRequest.getUser().getUser() ?

here compRequest is IPortalComponentRequest.

    Hi Prasad,

    how about a look into the javadocs?

    compRequest.getUser() gets you a UserContext object.

    getUserId() on the UserContext object is deprecated, use getLogonId() instead. This gets you the user logon id.

    To get an actual user object, use the IUserFactory.

    The UMFactory class offers a static method to deliver an according object.
