Hello
Can any one suggest why revaluation A/c has been credited with some amount if we have done materail to materail transfer with movement type 309
Please reply

When you post 309 material document, a Ideal accounting entry would be :
Stock Account Dr XXXX (New Material Code)
Stock Account Cr XXXX (Old Material Code)
I guess in your case both the materials are valuated with STANDARD PRICE & standard price of OLD Material is with some values but the standard price of NEW material is ZERO hence entire value posted for New Material is getting debited to REVALUATION account.
REVALUATION Account Dr XXXX (Value of NEW Material)
STock Account Cr XXXX (Value of OLD Material)
Kindly check the PRICE of both the material prior to posting 309 movement. Price can be changed thru MR21.
Hope this will clear your doubts..

hi,
Each material having its own price standard or moving avg, when we make mtr to mtr transfer this price converted into each
other for this before making material to material transfer first make both price equal in system by MR21
