Hot get and apply HPs for WebAS6.2 MINI?

I've recently installed a mini version of SAP 6.2 WEBAS (ABAP, of course). It comes in HP 24, but I would like to bring it to 29 at least so I could play with ABAP Memory Inspector.

Questions:

Where can I get the Hot packs?

How can I install them?

Thanks

Leonardo.

Leonardo, that is an easy question, Craig Cmehill has written two very detailed WebLogs on this topic and lots of discussion on that subject is going on around here. Have a look at the following Blogs:

/people/sap.user72/blog/2004/09/06/mini-me-of-webas-620

and

/people/sap.user72/blog/2004/12/08/mini-me-of-was-620-the-saga-continues

Good luck and keep us posted, Tiest.

I can't find the HP's to download.

I go to SAP Support Portal with my OSS ID and seach in the Software download section but the search engine returns nothing.

There are a few options:

Search for Support Packages and Patches - RETURNS NOTHING even if I enter the right package name

Entry by Application Group - Doesn't work either

My Company's Application Components - It could be a great way of doing it, if I had a software registered... It is a mini...

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Leonardo.

And by the way, if I try to order SAP Support Package Collection > All SPC through SAP Software catalog, I get this message: Backend system temporarily not available. Please try again later!

A bit frustrating.

Leonard, when you go to the Market Place select: Downloads -> SAP support Packages -> Search for Support Packages and Patches. Search using the following keywords: SAP_BASIS 620 and SAP_ABA 620 and the available supportpackages should be returned accordingly. Tiest.

That is what I was doing and it doesn't work.

I've tried:

SAP_ABA 620

SAP_ABA

SAP ABAP

SAP_BASIS 620

SAP_BASIS

SAP BASIS

620

None of the above returns any result. Nothing found.

Is there a way that it checks my OSS Account type? or company information. That is my OSS account as a certified SAP Consultant. But I have installed Mini at home. How do I go about that?

Should I log a message? If yes, I can't because I need to assign it to a system and again, due to my account type, I have no system attatched.

Thanks so far.

I would prefer to take this route:

SAP Software Distribution Center --> Downloads --> Support Packs & Patches --> My Company's Application Components --> SAP Web As --> SAP Web As (Version) --> SAP Web As ABAP --> ABA or BASIS depending on the packs you want. See if you can find them there. They should all be listed.

As I mentioned before, it doesn't work. I have no system data maintained so when I go to My Company's Application Components I get an empty screen saying:

No Data Available

Info Page Navigation Tree Filter OFF

No additional information available

I can't seem to find a way to enter system data either.

I've been able to access HP content using my client's OSS account. I have an account (S0003073829) belonging to my client. There I can access this type of information.

Using my SAP Consultant OSS account, I can't (S0002887747).

I think SAP should allow our personal OSS Accounts to have access to System data and software download.

Anyway, I think this would start a different thread.

Thanks all.

Leonardo, I would use your customers OSS id, no harm done since you are not applying them anywhere in the client's solution, only downloaded them for 'evaluation' reasons. Tiest
