Defining storage capacity

Dear Experts,

Can we define storage capacity to a plant or storage location. And in case if the plant or storage location is full then system should give the message while creating the purchase order, so that according purchase department can arrange the materials.

    Hi, freind,

    We r in SAP PP. we should not cross our boundary,

    I think it ll be handled by WareHouse Management,

    But this problem could be solved by use Enhancement through ABAP.

    wait for expert answer. i may b wrong also.

    If WM is not implemented, you cannot define capacity in a storage location of a plant.

    You can do it through enhancement. You have to create a Z table and maintain the capacity Plant\Storage Location or Plant\Storage Location\Material wise and refer it through user exit while creating a purchase order.
