scriptmain.pw

I have been attempting to follow the instructions in chapter 13 of Administrator's Guide SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management Interactive Publisher and Application Components 7.5 Series. This describes how to build web queries that access PAS. The table at the top of page 134 states "scriptmain.pw u2014 Java servlet interface. This is the default script to use. Use this when specifying parameters and admin parameters" Following the table is an example of how to invoke scriptmain.

I have attempted to follow these instruction without success. I then searched for scriptmain and it was not presnt on my system

Does this mean I have an incomplete system?

Does this mean the instructions are in error.

Cas anyone built a simple display that would allow me to see how this works?

Thanks

Cliff

Cliff,

scriptmain.pw is not a file that is installed, so you don't have to worry about your installation procedure. This is done for security purposes.

You would write your Java script page and deploy in the server through the pilotwork folder.

I have been told that most of this kind of customization work is done using NWDI - NetWeaver Development Infrastructure. Here is a link to give you more information about NWDI:
