user to group assignment fails NW04

Hi,

we have EP SP10 Patch 1 .

We implemented SSO and use LDAP as datasource.

LDAP users are not equal to ABAP users, therefor we define an attribute in the UME as described below.

After configuring the UME file the assignment of users to usergroups manually doesn´t work anymore and gives folliwing error message:

Hello Sandra,

why do you not use the standard Usermapping as I've described in my Weblog <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/weblogs.sdn?blog=/pub/wlg/1269">How to setup R/3 Reference system</a>.

Hi Gregor,

as you mentioned in another note "... Currently we are going to teach our users to maintain it one on their fist portal login. This is aceptable because they also have to maintain some CRM Alert settings and R/3 User Parameters via SU3...." you can define a user mapping, so that once the user has to go though the user mapping procedure.

Unfortunately in our case it was decided, that this is not acceptable for the users, so we did a workaround and found out how to do this (SAP library: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0b/d82c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm .

Anyway, the user mapping works fine, but since the latest release (SP10 Patch 1) we fail with the user to group assignment (manually).

Thank you anyway, but still searching for a solution or waiting for a new Patch ..:-)
