CSMCONF registration error

hi,

I have a 640 system and am trying to generate the CmSconf file automatically for agent registration.

When i go rz21 --> technical infrastructure - configure central system - create start file csmconf for agent registration, and try saving the file to a specified location it gives the error "Error calling Data Provider"

no other msg is stored in sm21.

has anyone come across this ?

any help is appreciated.

Hello all,

The answer to the "Error calling data provider" problem is in Sap Note 784880.

Basically the work-around is to avoid using the . filter in the File saving dialog box.
