Hi All,
In our bw system, Sales data has been sent twice from a faltfile to ods and then to cube.
our customer proposed to put a -ve in front of sales invoice value to cancel out the duplication. Is this recommended? Is the quantity also stored in the cube and therefore should this too be negated?
What is recommended here to get rid of duplicate data?
Thanks,
V.Singh.
Hi
You can load the flat file again with -ve invoice values.after you load this request to CUBE, do not forget to compress the data in CUBE.
If you do not compress the data in CUBE, as the request ID is different for earlier request and present request data will not get aggregated.

you ODS is in addition mode? If ODS is in overwrite mode, data should not be duplicated in the cube as delta will not be generated for duplicated entries.
If ODS is in addition mode, check if you can deleted the requests which have caused duplicated data. Such requests should be on the top in manage tab. If yes, deleted the detla request from cube, delete duplicated requests from ODS and run the delta again, it should fix the issue.
if duplicate flat files loads were done a few days ago, so/or you can not delete requestes from DSO, sending -ve values for duplicated flat files is a good option.

Hi,
If the request in cube is not compressed then simply you can delete the duplicate request from manage tab, but if the compression has already done then you will have to go for selective deletion of duplicate data and then do a reload from DSO.
