Data Validation Standard Programs for Data Migration

Hi All,

I am currently working on a project where I need to upload data from legacy system to R/3 4.7, I am using LSMW & BDC for the same.

I want to know if there are standard programs in SAP that will help in data verification of the uploaded data? Also in what format will the program give the output?

Please help.

    Hello Madhur,

    The LSM Workbench lets you check the data for migration against the current settings. The check is performed after the data migration, but before the update in your database.

    There's an option called "Display Converted Data". I guess that is what you are looking for.

    Please refer to the documentation on LSMW and get back if you have further doubts, with more details.

      Anand, thanks for the info abt the LSMW part, it would be helpful for future work 😊 However under the current circumstances, the LSMW & BDC programs are being programmed by my colleague and I am taking care of the Validation scripts. Sorry for my lousy initial problem definition.

    Hello,

    For Direct Input Provrams viz., RMDATIND - Material Master Creation, You have an option in the selection screen "Check Data, But do NOT update" wherein you can check the data before update.
