Problem in setting release strategy prerequisite

Dear Gurus,

More than USD. 100,000 General Manager + GGM / GCCIO + Director

Please give me your suggestion for setting Release strategy prerequisite. If purchase order amount is more than USD 100000 then General Manager + GGM /(or) GCCIO + Director have to approve the purchase order. For Approval of GGM /(or) GCCIO the prerequisite is GM. For Approval of Director the prerequisite is General Manager + GGM / GCCIO. In sap I am unable to do settings because of prerequisite of director is General Manager + GGM / GCCIO. Kindly give u r suggestion.

GCCIO- GC

Director- DI

prerequisite settings .

• -indicates check the box.

?- indicates empty box.

GM

GGM - *

GCCIO - * ?

DI * ? ?

And check the Release Statuses.........

In release statuses you will be having different combinations in that select three different ways.......

GM GGM GCCIO DI Release indicator

• ? * * Released

• * ? * Released

• * * * Released.

Remaining combinations are Blocked.........

Dear Venkat,

Thanks for u r reply. As per the client requirement Release code DI (Director) should have two pre requisite. One is GM and GG(OR) GC. As per u suggestion after GM it directly goes to Director. But it should go to director after the approval of GG(OR) GC. Please suggest.

select the check box

Your suggestion is not working. Kindly suggest me in prerequisite design in above model .

in your case GGM /(or) GCCIO is alternate release. after alternate releases pre requisites are not possible.

you can bring up the prerquisites up this level by checking the boxes

means GGM /(or) GCCIO and director will be at the same heirarchy

you can control the release by release status for required combinations in "release statuses'

in your case CGM /CIO is alternate release since either of them can approve

till that level you can have prerequisites

if you want to have prerequisites for director , you need to put X against the previous levels

if you put X CGM but not CIO and CIO is releasing, the condition is not satiisfied and the PO will not go to D

if you out X against both, then also if either of them release, the condiiton for po to reach Directior is not satisfied .

hence pre requisistes are not possible after altrenate release.

you may do a test case and check

first you will ceate release codes based on your requirement , yu can cerate anyy number of release codes but only you can assign 8 codes in the release strategy

create release codes of

General Manager- GM

GGM- GG

GCCIO- GC

Director- DI

If you need any approver before director then you must create one release code for that

After creating all the release codes assign in to these codes in the release strategy

AFTER ENTERING THE RELEASE CODES SELECT THE RELEASE PREREQUITES AND

SELECT THE CHECK BOX BASED ON YOUR REQUIREMENT AND CHECK THE RELEASE STATUS TO CONFIRM YOUR APPROVAL PROCESS . IN CLASSIFICATION ENTER YOUR VALUES(USD. 100,000 ) AND SAVE AND COME BACK AND CHECK YOUR SETTINGS, TO CREATE A P.O AND CHECK

Hi,

create two release strategies ......

with different classifications( Characteristics Description i.e Total net order value is < 10000 USD and >100000 USD)

One should have

For GGM CHECK THE BOX prerequisite as GM

For GCCIO check the prerequisite box as GM

For director check the prerequisite box as GM, GGM

Second follows the director check the prerequisite box as GM, GCCIO.

The pre requisite settings are...

For GM no prerequisite is required

For GGM CHECK THE BOX prerequisite as GM

For GCCIO check the prerequisite box as GM

For director check the prerequisite box as GM, GGM

Create another prerequisite for director check the prerequisite box as GM, GCCIO.
