Hi Suman,

I have no idea about prompt variable. I have Just got hte query and start using the query for creating the report. If you can let me know to create variable which will come up to webi report this will be really good for me...

Hello,

All the variables created in BEx which are marked with "Ready for input" in the defination will be prompted in WebI automatically.

Variables used in Default values will be prompted in WebI but are ingored later.

If you did not create the BEx query then you need to ask the person created the BEx query to avoid Variables in "Default Values" panel but can be included anywhere else in the BEx query.

Hi There,

Click the Variable in the Infoprovider section of the Bex Query, in the properties section -> goto Details sub tab> click "Edit" and in the Basic settings Select the "Variable is ready for input" check box.

FYI! If the query is already used by production users, make a copy of the query for the Webi Development.
