App Set Unavailable

Hi,

We have change the 'acc type' property of one GL Account from 'INC' to 'EXP' in BPC Admin client. Afterwards the appset is not getting back to 'available'. Even if I change the status of appset to 'Available' the description still shows the message that 'Appset is unavailable becuase the system is processing some deimensions'.

Pl. could you help with this error?

    Hi,

    look if the dimension is locked in the table UJA_DIMENSION. If it is, unlock and try to process the dimension again. Try also to process the dimension without going offline.

      Hi,

      When activating Apshell on 662850 BPC Netweaver 7.5 SP08, some dimensions remain empty after the process. Also if you try to run a UJA_DATA_CHECKER on it, the program will point that the same dimensions do not have the MBR_SEQ property.

      In this case it is not enough just to run the UJA_MIGRATE_MBR_SEQ program as it will fail on this circumstances too.

      Please follow the steps bellow to succesfully activate it:

      1. run UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT from se38

      2. select APSHELL, then select only Clean the appset option. execute.

      3. APSHELL successfully removed.

      4. run UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT.

      5. select APSHELL, then select the following options only.

      - Update Default Formula Table

      - Update Client Options

      - Update Language

      - Activate BI BUsiness Content

      - Update Default DM Instructions

      - Activate ApShell

      6. run UJA_MIGRATE_MBR_SEQ from se38.

      7. set APPSET name and Dimension name and click Execute to set MBR_SEQ attribute for each dimension.

      8. After set MBR_SEQ attribute for the all dimensions of the APSHELL, run UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT again.

      9. select APSHELL, then select only Load Data Into Appset.

      10. test from Admin console. The dimensions are not empty. Modifying the dimensions and processing succeed

    Hi,

    Have you got any plan/transactional data stored against the account dimension in any of your applications?

    Have you tried clearing this data out and then re-processing the dimension?

    Hi,

    Are you referring to the description, that appears when you click on the appset in BPC admin console?

    Can you login to BPC excel? If the appset is offline, then you will get a message that the appset is offline. Are you getting that message?
