    Hi,

Its quite strange that after upgrade to EHP4, you are decreasing RAM. Anyway, if you want to decrease the RAM then you need to change SGA size on oracle including all parameters of SGA like DB_Cache etc.

At same time on SAP side you need to decrease parameter like heap area, Roll memory. As such there is no definite value but you need to do in steps and check system performance.

    Thanks

    Sunny

Why you want to decrease the RAM?

Is your system not utilizing completely

If you are splitting it into DB and CI then it would be a good idea.

Here you have to check the db allocation to re-allocate and the instance parameters (If you are on zero maintained parameters, no issue you may need to change couple of parameters) better to go with SAP recommended notes.

    Hi,

You can modify the below parameters :

    For oracle :

    shared_pool_size

    db_cache_size

    sga_max_size

    For SAP:

    EM/TOTAL_SIZE_MB

    em/initial_size_MB

apart from above parameters you can also take care of rolll ad heap memory parameters.

    Regards,
