Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled
Message no. GLT2201
Diagnosis
The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.
System Response
The document cannot be posted.
Procedure
First check your entries.
Additional causes could be:
No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.
You have entered a document type that is not designed for this business purpose.

This error is related to newgl document splitting.
When this functionality is activated the system require to have a profit centre also on balance sheet accounts.
If profit centre is already maintained on WBS, then it is missing FI configuration for document splitting to allow the system to "copy" the profit centre from the cost line item to the balance sheet line item in the FI document.
Check FI configuration :
General Ledger Accounting --> Business Transaction --> Document Splitting

Hi Paolo,
I have copied standard splitting method 12. I believe that these actual settlements will happen to AA document type. In standard, for AA document type business transaction 0000 is assigned. So, I am wondering how come the profit center in cost line item is not getting inherited to balance sheet account. Also, inheritance indicator is activated.
Could you please put some light on this.
