Option to check sub menus for a portal role

Hello,

I have a portal role, when I do a right click on it and choose -- Open -> Object , it shows 3 menus (Overview, Personnel management and Reports).

I want to see what are the options (sub menus) available under Personnel management and Reports. How can I see them ?

Please guide me.

Thanks a lot for the information,

I have followed the steps informed by you, but the 6th point -

> (It will locate the page in the PCD.Right Click on the page->open ->object->in page editor it will open up with all the iViews and pages it has) . I still cannot see the sub menus under my workset (Personnel management) It only opens up a screen displaying Type, Name,ID , Visible and Fixed.

I cannot see the sub menus under my workset (Personnel management). Appreciate your assistance.

Hi Sush,

Are you sure your workset has content? and you could not see it in the editor.Then kindly check the Merge id of the workset.It might be merged with some other workset,to display the content.

Hi,

1.Open PCD content->Right click on the role->open->Object

2.Role opens in the role editor,If the role contains folder or workset then the arrow key will be there at the left.If you drill down the arrow then the content of the workset of folder will be displayed.

3.I hope in your case the Personal Management and reports are pages.Rightclick on the personal management ->Trace Delta Links

4.It will show the flow of the particular object from source to depentent object

5.Select the corresponding page and then click locate in Portal catalog /right click on the page ->Locate in portal catalog

6.It will locate the page in the PCD.Right Click on the page->open ->object->in page editor it will open up with all the iViews and pages it has.

7.You can follow the above steps for the content and preview it.

Thanks for the reply,

But when I click on one of the workset and do a open --> Delta link tracer , It open on the right hand side and again I click on Trace delta link, Another screen opens but the "Locate in portal catalog" option is diabled there. How can I check for the contents in the workset ?

Hi Sush,

As an when you open the ROLE, you find these worksets( I guess they are added as worksets). There are various ways to find out.

1. If this is a standard role are the worksets are also standard, under the workset folder, you will be able to find them.

2. In the PCD, where you find the roles, on the top, you find 2 options, browse and search.You can search for the worksets from there as well.

3. Click on the right arrow key where you have these 3 options visible and you can see the content of these worksets there. Else, you can choose the option " Trace Delta links" and choose locate in the portal which will guide you to the exact location and the contents you are searching for.

You can try any of these approaches.
