SOLMANUP Error when creating cofile for transport request SAPK-100AGINCTSPL

Former Member

Hello

I'm doing the upgrade solman to 7.1

SOLMANUP stop at the step

PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/EHP_INCLUSION

With the following message

Severe error(s) occured in phase PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/EHP_INCLUSION!
Last error code set: Disassembling patch queue failed rc = 3, reason = 'Error when creating cofile for transport request SAPK-100AGINCTSPLUG'

I checked the permissions and they are fine, because in the directory /usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/cofiles there are already a lot of files.

On the drive there is enough space (8GB)

I download the K-100AGINCTSPLUG.SAR again to check if the file was corrupted and it was not.

If I manually decompress the file I do not get a data file end a cofile but EPS/in/...PAT

Any hint would be very welcomed!

Thank you and regards,

Tommaso

PS I already read the note

Note 1576955 - cannot create cofile during Upgrade/EHPI/SPAM

but the libraries are already deployed (with different versions)

In our case upgrade tp, R3trans to last version

Note 1576955 after upgrade tp also neded? because according note 1576955 $(DIR_PUT)/exe/tp -V 2>&1

say that:

Could not open the ICU common library.

The following files must be in the path described by

the environment variable "LD_LIBRARY_PATH":

libicuuc.so.40, libicudata.so.40, libicui18n.so.40 [nlsui0.c 1540] pid = 2510

thnx and best regards, friends!

Yestarday I had the same problem. The solution is to update R3trans and tp up to last version. I've update them to 720 patch 107. It helps.

Yes. Problem was resolved by downloading tp and R3trans release 7.20 patch 107 in .../SOLMANUP/abap/exe/ directory

Thanks.

Thank you for the Info, we encountered the same problem during SolMan upgrade from 7.01 to 7.1; Solution was new R3trans and tp from (kernel 7.20 patch level 107) in the exe dir of the SOLMANUP (/usr/sap/SID/SOLMANUP/abap/exe)

Everything went fine.

Please check if \usr\sap\trans\cofile has enough space and that the permissions are correct. The PAT file wil be used by a programm that is ran in the ABAP and hence the permissions to create the cofiles must be according the user running the program (<sid>adm on Unix).

I saw likewise errors when /usr/sap/trans was mounted as an NFS directory and the same file has been created under .../cofiles with another user (from another upgrade of the same landscape).

Thank you Markus

The error is only by the 4th cofile. This excludes the permission error.

It's a single solman without trans on nfs.

I think the files are written in /usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/cofiles not in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles.

Solution:

Debugging SPDA_DISASSEMBLE_QUEUE you get the command:

/usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/tp PF=/usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/bin/TPPARAM CREATECOFILE SAPK-100AGINCTSPLUG -s S0A

executing the comand in a shell

This is /usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/tp version 376.03.39 (release 701, unicode enabled)

tp finished with return code: 8

we see that in the SOLMANUP SAP has delivered an old version of R3trans

Hi,

I ran into the same error. If I execute the command from your last Post I get the following error:

This is /tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/R3trans version 6.19 (release 720 - 27.07.10 - 13:40:00).

/tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/R3trans finished (0012).

The file is not existent, thats correct. All the others are there. I also copied the libraries ... no effect,

Any ideas?

Hi Mike

Where have you copied the updates?

They should go in .../SOLMANUP/abap/exe/... and not in the directory of the normal instance.

Tommaso

HI Tommaso,

they had already been in .../SOLMANUP/abap/exe/. The folder contains the following:

ls -la /tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/libicu.

-rwxr-xr-x 1 soladm sapsys 8836524 2010-07-30 20:08 /tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/libicudata.so.34

-rwxr-xr-x 1 soladm sapsys 1589908 2010-07-30 20:08 /tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/libicui18n.so.34

-rwxr-xr-x 1 soladm sapsys 1577768 2010-07-30 20:08 /tmp/SOLMANUP/abap/exe/libicuuc.so.34

Hi Mike

I do not remember exactly what I did.

Try with the latest Kernel 7.20 and check if there are other places (database directories?) where the executables are deployed.

Hi,

If platform is Unix then could you confirm the second point mentioned in that note.

Also decompressing the .SAR file doesn't produce the datafile and cofile. Datafile and cofiles are generated when a transport is released. Generation of .PAT file is OK.

Thanks

Also if I copy the libraries from /usr/sap/S0A/SOLMANUP/abap/exe, tp is using the version 30 instead of 34
