Hello All,
Can someone tell me whether Variable substitution works for IC(Integrated Config) objects whcih is not having IR part?
Thanks,
Regards,
Moorthy
If you don't have any IR part and have defined the data type as a blob for pass through scenario, variable substitution would only work for attributes of message header.
If you try variable substitution with a value in payload in this case, it would not work. The reason being you would not be able to define the variable path in the paylaod in your comm. channel.

Hi Moorthy,
>>> Can someone tell me whether Variable substitution works for IC(Integrated Config) objects whcih is not having IR part?
Yes Variable substitution definitely works for IC objects thats because the variable substitution is supported by File Adapter (Receiver) and the File Adapter functionality does not change whether it is classical Scenario or it is a Integrated Configuration Scenario. It is just that the adapter engine (on which the file adapter services run) changes from the Central Adapter Engine to the Decentral Adapter engine.
Take a look at the below for usage:

Hope this helps.
