bug in NW developer studio?

Hello,

while developing a CMP Entity Bean i encountered the following behaviour. After having successfully deployed my entity bean i closed the developer studio!

Afterwards i started it again and could not find an icon in the workspace tree for my EJB. There is an entry in the ejb-jar.xml! OK! I took a look in the .log file, but everything seems to be fine. So i wanted to try building the jar again, but the action is disabled in the context menu.

If i try to create a new bean in this project i get the following two exceptions:

1.) create ejb in package

2.) create ejb

1.)

Although old - Just thought I'd say I ran into this problem (I think) in SP12 (error in IDE was "Not able to create EnterpriseBean"). Appeared to be to do with length of names or domain name. Basically, I shortened some parameters and reduced the number of periods in the domains and all worked okay. Didn't investigate exact cause.

The Developer Studio is currently only available for Windows. Within Windows there is a built in limit of 255 characters for a file name. This includes the full path name. So try to change the package name to a shorter name or rename the Entity Bean. Or move your workspace to a different location. The default is \Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\SAP\Workspace\ these are already 57 characters !!
