Hi,

I have installed HANA Express Edition only VM. I followed the steps mentioned in "Getting Started with SAP HANA 2.0, express edition (Virtual Machine Method)".

I am able to connect to it using SAP HANA Studio. However, when I am trying to connect using ODBC I am getting the following error. (System number in my case is 90 and HANA express using port 39015)

****************************************************************************************

SQLSTATE: 08S01

NATIVE ERROR: -10709

MESSAGE TEXT: [SAP AG] [LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] Communication link failure; -10709 Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'connect' failed, rc=10061:No connection could be made because target is actively refusing it (hxehost:39015))

*************************************************************************************************

I have been struggling for quiet sometime now on this. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have used this port hxehost:39013 and it worked for me.

Initially using 3<instance number>15 [hxehost:39015] which dint worked for me. Then I checked it via eclipse trace and found its using 39013 and I tried the same from SAP Data service-> Data source connection and it worked.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Raja
