BI 4.0 Single Sign on Configuration

Hello,

Configured SSO settings on BI 4.0. Able to login with Windows ID and password but not using SSO.

Here is what we see in tomcat stdout file

Debug is true storeKey false useTicketCache false useKeyTab false doNotPrompt false ticketCache is null isInitiator true KeyTab is null refreshKrb5Config is false principal is null tryFirstPass is false useFirstPass is false storePass is false clearPass is false

There is a note for this issue - 1548417 - XI 4.0 Java AD SSO failing (FWM 00006) and it did not help us.

Is there any other place that we need to look to get more information about the error ?

According to admin guide, after changing global or any of the properties files, we need to redeploy BOE.war file. it does not make sense to me (page 255 in BI 4.0 admin gude. Have anydone done this ?

Please help.

Thanks!

Raj

Follow directiions outlined in the SSO configuration area of the Administration guide, but * make sure that your vintela settings* in global.properties file are as follows:

vintela.enabled=true

idm.realm=DOMAIN.COM

idm.princ=SERVERNAME/serviceaccountname.domain.com

idm.allowUnsecured=true

idm.allowNTLM=false

idm.logger.name=simple

idm.logger.props=error-log.properties

idm.keytab=C:/WINNT/keytabfilename.keytab

The last line is very iomportant. It has to be in this format and not in the standard Windows format (c:\winnt\etc). I spent about a week trying to figure out why my SSO was not working, until I figured it out.
