PSA tables

hi all,

while transferring data into BW, a transparent table is created in the PSA for each activated transfer structure. the name for this PSA table is generated by the system. How can i find out this technical name of the PSA table. Do these system generated names of PSA tables follow some naming conventions like some of the other tables in BW??

with regards,

Priyank

Hi Priyank,

Go to the PSA in Admin Workbench -> Select the Infosource -> Right click and select "Delete PSA". It would show up the PSA details where the tbale name of the PSA would be displayed. Copy the name and cancel and come out of the screen.

This works and I have tested it.

PS: Do not forget to give points if it works.

Another way: Go to InfoSource, right click, display Dataflow and switch on the technical names.

Best regards

Dirk

Hi Priyank,

check out the tables rsisosmap and rsts. I think you'll get the information you want out of these tables. Use the field transtru of table rsisosmap to select table rsts.

Hi Priyank,

Yes, most of the "<b>BW System defined tables</b>" follow a naming convention. I am not sure what but I am pretty sure since I program usually follows a set of logic and that includes creation of tables dynamically.

Btw, why do you need to know it? You can view the contents directly using RSA1. Why bother?
