File handling

hay guys,

Here we deal with legacy datas and coverting legacy text file to bdc format file.

Before converting text file to bdc format. i need to do

some text file handling or editiing work in C++ so that it can be easily converted to BDCformat file.

So i need some help on file handling with C++ do we have any seperate forum like SDN who can give support me in C++.

Pls guide me if our SDN also support this kind of work.

    What do you want to do with those files? where do they come from?

    May be we can handle all that is required thru ABAP itself.

    Give us more detail.

      How are you getting it? they send it to your system or you pull it from there system?

      Where do you put the file at the end.

      In our case the external systems put their files into the SAP unix directory using <b><i>connectdirect</i></b> and we pick it from there and process it.
