BEx - Creating condition on a formula variable?

Hi Everyone,

I have created a formula variable on my row that puts a '1' in the row if it meets a condition and a '0' if it doesn't.

I then tried to create a condition on this flag. I want to show records where flag = '1'. I want to use the option 'all characteristics in the drilldown independently' so that this flag is applied to every object in the row. This will not work. However, if I use 'single characteristic or combination of characteristics' and select the fields displayed in my row, it will work.

Does anyone know if you can use a condition on a formula variable?

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

    Hi,

this has nothing to do with formula variables; the problem is the all characteristics in the drilldown independently. Read the online documentation chapter carefully. It tries to explain the behaviour.
