SAP e-Sourcing

Hi Experts,

Is SAP e-Sourcing part of SRM application that can be activated within or is a separate application that needs to be integrated with SRM?

Hi,

As Jay has already mentioned, E-Sourcing or Sourcing is completely different product. Here you can carry out Sourcing Event or project, RFx and Contract authoring (CLM).

Although SAP SRM supports sourcing and bidding, E-sourcing gives you an extra edge of legal authoring of contract whereas you can create only an operational contract in SAP SRM.

E-sourcing has standard PI integration with ECC but does not have any standard integration with SAP SRM. The notable difference is that E-Sourcing can connect to only one backend ECC system unlike SAP SRM which can be linked to multiple to backend ECC system.

e-Sourcing is a completely different solution from SRM. It has integration with ECC and possibly integration with SRM to a certain degree.
