Hello,
I Have a BO XI R2 Servicepack 4 clustered environment (2 nodes). Publishing Crystal Reports from Crystal Reports client went well until recently. With not probable cause it doesn't work anymore. Whereas importing reports from within the CMS still works without any problem. To be more exactly: When I try to publish from the Crystal reports client (with the same user, that still works in the CMS) I can see the CMS folder structure! but when i try to publish to a certain folder i get the message: Input File Repository not available. I wonder what this could be because I can see the CMS folder structure from the Crystal client (so apparantly the login to the cms went well). And from there on the publication process to the ifrs should!? be handled the same by the cms. But apparantly it isn't.
I really would like to get this solved. Because it is much harder to publish from within the CMS (report settings have to be set beforehand)
Wat can be the cause? Can anybody please help me?
Kind Regards,
Erik
Erik,
From what you have described your issue is going to be firewall related.
You need to make sure that your iFRS request port is set and make sure that port is open on the firewall.

Hello,
I don't know how i can post attachments on this site.
I also asked the same question at bob (on which i didn't get any reaction) I published 4 screenprints there on the publication process:[http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?p=839543#839543]
Kind regards,
Erik

Hi,
check whether the input file repository server is running.

I checked it. And the ifrs is running.
But it should be, because from within the cms I can import Crystal Reports (I can only! not publish them from the Crystal Client that is so strange) So anycase the IFRS being down is not the problem here!? is my conclusion (am i right on this?)
Kind Regards,
Erik
Hello,
Where can I check this? Should I check this for the cms cluster? Also for the client pc?
NB: My CMS cluster has two nodes. Should I check it for both computers?
How can I check this? Can this be seen In for example the windows eventviewer? Or should I use some sort of BO logging?
Kind regards,
Erik
HI,
I asked the firewall boys if the firewall settings were changed. Especially I asked them to check if the BOE ports (6400-6411) are open. The told me nothing has changed in the firewall settings lately (a few weeks ago I could publish).
The strange thing here is that when I Publish from the Crystal Designer (save) I get to see the folder structure of the ifrs (i can even see the reports in it. By the way doesn't this mean there was communication with the ifrs, so the port is accessible?)
But when I try to save there I get the message: (in dutch) IFRS not available (File Repository Server Input is niet beschikbaar).
From within the cms I have no problem publishing.
Kind Regards,
Erik
