UWL for Interna and External users

Hi All,

I have created 2 UWL iVIews based on standard SAP Portal com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews, one iView for Internal users and secound one for external users.

My Question is ,

Internal users are connected to ECC Web Flow connector where as external users we do not want to connect any Sap system. Since the both iViews are based on one standard UWL , How to differentiate Internal vs External users ?

Since External users are not exist in ECC they are seeing the warning message with the authorizations missing.

Thanks

Krish

    Hi,

I am not sure if this is possible. You could take a look into the UWL iView properties. Perhaps there you can have an effect that which UWL configuration file it refers to. And if you have a configuration file that does not have any tasks that relate to the backend workflow, it might work.

Another interesting question of course is that why you would want to give UWL for external users? For what do they use it? Sending some notifications or alerts? Using some other BPM solution than business workflow?

    Regards,

    Karri

    • There is a parameter called "User Roles" which can be configured while creating a UWL system.

Then this UWL system will only be used for the configured roles. Set this property for your UWL systems with the roles as per your requirement and you should be good to go.

There is no need to create two UWL iviews with this approach.

      Thanks,

      Shanti
