Global Portal User Personalization

Hi All,

I have a need to create some customer personalization properties for a user that I can use globally. An example is I need to map the LDAP userid to a customer number, lbs vs kgs preferences, etc ... I would like to be able to get the customer number from any iView. I would like to the users to set them once from the Personalize workset. What are some of my options?

I'm looking into the following, but none of them seem to be perfect answers:

1) Pick a field we are not using and store them in the Active Directory LDAP.

2) iView by iView personalization.

3) par by par personalization.

4) create a new table in the Oracle db to store these mappings.

5) Setup a UserMapping system, to store the mappings.

Has anybody else done something like this?

Thanks,

Mike Shroyer
