DWM Idoc for IM movements

Hello Exterts,

Currently my client uses an external system (AS 400) for all the warehouse processes. We are thinking of setting this up as a Decentralized warehouse as we can make use of the standard Idocs available for inbound and outbound processes.

But I am not very clear about the process/Idocs that can be used for IM activities.

For example: If I execute MB1A/MB1B/MB1C in ERP system then I believe the Idoc MBGMCR (MBGMCR01, MBGMCR02) can be used for transferring the data. Can we use the same Idoc for transferring the data from AS400 system (DWM) to ERP system?

Can someone give more details about this?

Hi Ram: MBGMCR is the Message type that you could use. System will trigger an IDOC for all the posting changes when you set up a distribution model from DWM system to XI or third party system for Business Object BUS2017 and method CreateFromData. Choose 'Add BAPI Method' when you set up distribution model in BD64 to set up the same.

What I want to know is if any movement type is executed in ERP system (be it posting change or stock transfer) then the standard inbound or outbound delivery Idocs will transmit this data from ERP to DWM. Like SHP_OBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA01

for outbound and SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA02 for Inbound movements. Then the actual stock placement or removal takes place in DWM system and after that DWM system will trigger the Idoc MBGMCR for subsequent posting in ERP. Could you please clarify that Iam correct in my understanding?

Also, can we not make use of the confirmation Idocs like SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL04 (outbound) and SHP_IBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL03 (inbound) from DWM in the above scenario?

Please clarify. May be, you can give me an example of Idoc flow incase of the stock transfer or posting change movement.

Ram: SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL04 & SHP_IBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL03 are for Goods Issue posting and Goods Receipt posting on Outbound and Inbound Deliveries accordingly. If there are other posting changes like, stock type changes, difference postings, they will be replicated via MBGMCR.
