User should change only Language through portal personalization in Masthead

Hi,

We have a requirement where in user should be able to change the portal language after he logs into portal.

I am aware this can be done by the enabling the personalization option on MASTHEAD. But in the personolization view only Userprofile should be visible and not any other options like Portal Theme , Usermapping and work protectmode.

In user profile also only general information tab should be visible and not any other tabs.

Pls guide how to customize this standard portal content. The portal objects involved for changing are Portal Personalization and User profile. Pls explain how to remove unwanted tabs in User profile object.
