Data Base Partition

Dear Experts,

Is it possible to divide a single DB in to four parts based on the years.

Using the DB from 2005 now want to create a DB with only last two years data

SAP Version 8.8 Patch Level 20

SQL Sevrer Version 2008

Hi Karthik B,

It might be better to use the Data Archive Wizard (Administration > Utilities > Data Archive Wizard). This tool will delete all data older than two or more years.

All data older than what you retain you can keep in a database on another server or hard disk (just restore a backup to a new database).
