Change Asset Expired Useful Life

Dear Guru,

I transfer an asset to new asset, this data for new asset :

Useful Life : 3 year

Expired Useful Life : 1 year 9 months

Remaining Life : 1 year 3 months

Acquition Date / Transfer date : 29.02.2008.

Depreciation for new asset begin in Feb 2008.

When I display Asset Explorer (AW01N), I choose 2009, the screen shows :

Useful Life : 3 year

Expired Useful Life : 2 years 9 months

Remaining Life : 3 months

Why Expired Useful Life in 2009 shows 2 years 9 months not 2 years 8 months ?

Whereas in 2008, depreciation was posted from Feb - Dec 2008 ( 11 months)

How to change Expired Useful Life if depreciations have been posted?

Hi,

In order to describe why use full live differ from your expectation, please check again on how chart of depreciation and acquisition configuration made. Is it accrued in half month or at the end of month, etc.

"How to change Expired Useful Life if depreciations have been posted?" regarding this question is No can do. beside you can maintained use full life in master data so it can shown as you wish.

remember there is an effect when you change useful life in master data that you should aware of it.
