Accessing a .ppt from a local machine via a url iview [netweaver portal]

Hi All,

I would greatly appreciale it if I can get some input about the following:

I would like to access a Powerpoint from my hard drive via a url iview. This is from a Netweaver Portal. Is there any way I can do that? If so what would be the syntax for url:.

If this is not possible how can a access a .ppt from my machine via an iview. I do not want to have to upload the document onto a server or into KM

    Hello Rahul,

    you can try: file://c:/temp/test.ppt. But be aware that this will only work on your local computer :-). Also you can't use spaces in the URL.
