Why there is a need to store server SSL certificate in TrustedCA

Hi, I have a general question here. Why there is a need to always manually upload server SSL certificate in SAP PO NWA TrustedCA ? For example - If you make https request to googleapis from SAP PO

https://maps.googleapis.com/

you need to install the ssl certificate in your NWA TrustedCAs keystore for your adapter to work. As the SSL certificate has an expiry date, You need to upload certificates again eveytime it gets renew. There should be a way for SAP PO to automatically store the SSL certificate in NWA keystore if it expires similar to what normally any browser like I.E or Mozilla does. Should there a feature like this in SAP PO?

Thanks,

Amol

    Hi Amol,

SAP PO does not load the HTTP/SSL certificate automatically like the web browser and because of that the certificate needs to be uploaded in NWA Trusted CA. The general maintains problem is how to know when certificate will expired and can we receive a notification in advance to it can be updated. One way is to upload the certificate in any SAP system ABAP stack in strust and schedule the standard job to trigger notification.

    Please refer the below blog
