Message no. R3005- Infosource XXXXX not defined in the source system

Hi,

when trying to do load a data within BW system, the request is going to red status with message as below :

InfoSource XXXXX is not defined in the source system.

Message no. R3005

Diagnosis

The InfoSource XXXXXX specified in the data request, is not defined in the source system.

System response

The data transfer is terminated.

Procedure

In the Administrator Workbench of the Business Information Warehouse, update the metadata for this source system, and delete the InfoPackages belonging to InfoSources that no longer existing

I tried restoring the data source but still getting the same error.

Any ideas?

Hi,

First check the connection of your source system from RSA1-->System-->Check option from the context menu. You can even try to restore the connection with source system and then try loading again.

Hi,

I think your are facing the problem with 8 * datasources. Just you have to generate same in the rsa1 transaction. In RSA1 go to Settings --> Display Generated objects

I restored the source system . It took nearly 1 hr but finally it resolved the problem.

Now i can load the data.
