Hide a column in BPS layout ?

Hi,

Is it possible to hide a column in a BPS layout (Web Excel) ?

When I hide a column in the layout definition, saving it resets the hidden column.

Any idea if it will be included in a future release ?

Thanks

david,

there is an icon in the third screen of the layout definition (similar to a puzzle, orange and blue) to on the right.

When the 'always fit to column' indicator is unselected, you can save the hidden column ok. However, when you execute the layout, the hidden column is displayed.

Thanks

Hello David,

For technical reasons whenever you hide a column in Excel the system will expand it again - just as you have noticed. The only way to get around this is to use Excel macros (in GUI) or Java script in the Web Interface.

Thanks for your answer.

What do you mean by lenght eq '0' ?

In the web interface, I cannot interfere directly on the columns of a layout. Is there a specific code to include in a text component ?

Alessandro,

I create in BPS0 all the customizing I need (functions, layout...). After that, I create a web interface with these components (variables, functions, layout).

That 's why I wonder what could be the java code to hide a column in web interface.
